The three levels of services are uniquely defined as follows:
Audits
An audit is the highest level of service which involves performing procedures to obtain audit evidence about the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements which is sufficient and appropriate to provide a basis for our audit opinion. Our procedures will include examining supporting documents and tests of documentary evidence supporting the transactions recorded in the accounts by corresponding with selected individuals, funding sources, creditors and financial institutions. In addition, we will require certain written representations from you about the financial statements and related matters.
Reviews
A review is an intermediate level of service which includes primarily applying analytical procedures to your financial data and making inquiries of the company’s management. A review is substantially less in scope than an audit. The objection of a review engagement is to express limited assurance that there are no material modifications that should be made to the financial statements in order for the statements to be in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America.
Compilations
A compilation is the lowest level of service. The objection of a compilation is to assist management in presenting financial information in the form of financial statements without undertaking to obtain or provide any assurance that there are no material modifications that should be made to the financial statements. We have not audited or reviewed the financial statements and do not express an opinion or provide any assurance about whether the financial statements are in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America.
